I had a very disappointing experience with this firm.
They initially responded via email to one set of my questions, which I appreciated. However, after I sent a follow-up with additional, more specific questions about my case, I received no response or attempt to discuss them further.
Itâs also worth noting that aside from the initial intake, all communication had been handled via text and email. At no point did anyone proactively schedule a call to walk through my case, discuss my hesitations/concerns, answer questions, or provide guidance.
Instead, I received an unexpected phone call informing me that they would no longer be taking my case. This came without any prior discussion, and without addressing the outstanding questions I had already taken the time to send.
For a legal matter where clarity, communication, and trust are critical, this lack of follow-through and abrupt decision-making was extremely frustrating.
I understand that firms have to make decisions about which cases to take. That is not the issue. The issue is the lack of communication and the way the decision was delivered, especially after I had made a good faith effort to engage and get clarity.
A simple conversation to address my questions and explain their reasoning would have gone a long way.
Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to ensure they are receiving consistent, proactive communication before relying on this firm.
Clarifying after the owners response, see below:
Thank you for your response.
To clarify, I understand I was not formally retained as a client. My review reflects my experience during the intake and evaluation process.
You did respond to my initial set of questions via email, which I appreciated. However, after I sent a second set of more specific follow-up questions regarding liability and case details, I did not receive a response to those questions.
Instead, I received a phone call informing me that the firm would not be moving forward with my case, without addressing those outstanding questions.
My concern is not the decision itself, but the lack of direct communication around those follow-up questions before the case was declined.
I would have appreciated the opportunity to discuss those points for clarity.
