At the crossroads of one of the worst moments in life, I learned making a choice for an attorney is one of most challenging things. Particularly, when, in my opinion, an officer is overzealous and failed to exercise good judgement and the result could have impacted every aspect of my life forever. Several attorneys wanted to argue technicalities of the case or jump right to a plea before reviewing any facts. When I finally got frustrated, I reluctantly reached out to my friends group and was referred by a friend who is at one of the corporate firms downtown. Thankfully I did. Eddie was the first attorney to take the time and review the facts of the case as a whole. He was candid and confident in his feedback, set expectations and even more so once he had completed all of the discovery. He felt the case would stand on its own merit with the appropriate level of assertiveness, but was prepared to take it to trial if need be. Fortunately, the case was dismissed before we got there. However, I felt like it would still be ongoing if the State got the sense he would back down, or worse, would have taken a plea if I had gone elsewhere. He has that level of, candor, intellectual capital and confidence you want in your worst moment and someone who looks out in the best interests of your livelihood and reputation. He is the person you want in your corner when you are pinned against the mat. I can't thank him enough for seeing this through.
