We engaged Industria Business Lawyers LLP for a time-sensitive business dispute and ultimately terminated the engagement after it became clear the matter was not being properly supervised.
The fees were high, yet basic oversight, verification, and follow-through were lacking. Critical actions were billed as performed, but timely confirmation and documentation were not provided, creating uncertainty during a high-urgency window where precision and accountability were essential.
From a management standpoint, the most concerning issue was the lack of meaningful supervision. Although Alexander Rodriguez is identified as the Managing Partner, his involvement appeared to occur only after the engagement had already failed and the deficiencies were raised by us.
Even at that point, the firm was unable to supply clear, contemporaneous confirmation of how or when the demand letter was transmitted or whether a bar complaint had actually been filed. Materials provided later did not include objective proof such as filing receipts, delivery confirmations, or portal acknowledgments, leaving the record unresolved.
As a result, we were forced to spend substantial time reconstructing the record ourselves and ultimately terminated the engagement. We are now pursuing a fee dispute seeking a full refund based on the lack of supervision, verification, and value delivered relative to the fees charged.
Given the stakes, urgency, and cost, this experience did not meet reasonable expectations for a professional services firm. Based on our experience, we would not retain this firm for any matter.
