After meeting with several bankruptcy attorneys in Miami, I knew almost immediately that Aimee Melich and her team were the right fit for me. I was navigating bankruptcy in the midst of an international move, following several incredibly difficult years that included a layoff, financial uncertainty, and a number of personal challenges. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed. From my very first meeting with Aimee and her husband, Carlos, I felt a level of empathy, kindness, and genuine care that I simply did not experience elsewhere. As a woman in business myself, I also appreciated supporting a woman-owned firm. Aimee brings a uniquely compassionate and human approach to a process that can otherwise feel intimidating and emotionally draining. She is professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient, but what stood out most was her ability to make me feel supported every step of the way. I am someone who asks a lot of questions and likes to be thoroughly prepared before making any major decision. Aimee never made me feel like a burden. Whether we were meeting in person or communicating remotely, she consistently took the time to answer my questions, explain the process, and provide reassurance when I needed it. Her responsiveness and attention to detail made an overwhelming situation feel manageable. The atmosphere of the office was warm and welcoming, and it was clear that everyone genuinely cared about their clients. Filing bankruptcy is not something anyone hopes to go through, but if you find yourself needing guidance, I cannot recommend Aimee highly enough. The only constructive feedback I would offer - and I say this because the experience was otherwise excellent - would be around client communication logistics. At times, different team members handled different aspects of the process, such as document collection, scheduling, and administrative questions. In an ideal world, I would have loved having a single dedicated point of contact or 'client concierge' for those items throughout the process. That said, this was a minor issue in what was otherwise a truly five-star experience. Aimee helped guide me through one of the most stressful chapters of my life with professionalism, compassion, and grace. I am incredibly grateful for her support and would recommend her without hesitation.

The office was very nice and helpful at the beginning of the process, and communication was good initially. However, things changed toward the end. I paid $1,500 in retainer and filing fees but ultimately decided not to proceed with Chapter 13 after determining the monthly payments were not realistic for my situation. The bankruptcy was never filed. I understand the retainer is non-refundable. However, when I requested a refund of the filing fee I paid (since the case was never filed), communication became difficult. I received multiple calls encouraging me to continue with the filing, but once I asked about the refund, I was repeatedly told someone would call me back and never received follow-up. My main concern is the breakdown in communication and lack of response regarding the refund request.

Thank you Aimee and the entire team for helping out I started in October and everything ended March 2026 There was a delay on my behalf they were ready to file and ready to go by December. I was still uncertain sometimes we get on our own heads in our own way gratefully I took the risk and I went full force fully in with the bank bankruptcy! And it was the best decision I made I’m so grateful to be able to set a reset button in my life and be able to start everything over again with a new mindset This was taking a big toll out of my life emotionally physically mentally it was just too much I felt so overwhelmed I’m so glad that I did this. I truly encouraged those don’t be scared of the word bankruptcy don’t take it lightly and don’t abuse it however if you need to put yourself in bankruptcy then do it that’s why it’s there! You’re not the first and you’re not the last to file bankruptcy you just take the risk you have absolutely nothing to risk the same money that you’re spending monthly on these overrated interest rates can go towards your bank bankruptcy! Instead of paying for interest pay towards walking to freedom!
The years 2020-2024 were the most brutal years I have ever lived through. As if a near fatal accident and being out of work for several months wasn’t enough, gas prices were just Pennie’s from being $5.00 a gallon when I was having to commute 1 hour and 15 minutes to work each day. I eventually found myself without a job, and ruthless creditors calling me incessantly and it got so bad I turned my ringer off for a year straight. You see, I was trying so hard to pay my bills and do the “right thing”. I received no sympathy from my creditors whatsoever. After being humiliated in my front yard in front of my neighbors with court papers being served I had had enough. I called a firm that lost my case paperwork and totally forgot about me because they fired the guy who was collecting all of my documents (he never uploaded them to the attorney!) and wasted $1000 of my money and 2 months of time and I should have been done with my bankruptcy by that point. OMG, I was back to square one! I was finally referred to Aimee’s law firm and for the first time in over 4 years, I had a glimmer of hope. The entire firm was pleasant, professional and explained everything to me. They helped alleviate my anxiety and stress and made the process bearable. If you want your bankruptcy to go smoothly and as stress free as possible, I recommend you call Melich Law Group without delay. Before I hired Aimee I had to go to the ER 3 times because of the stress and anxiety driving my blood pressure to very dangerous levels. My 341 meeting has come and gone within the first week of the new year and I’m now debt free. I’m just waiting on my letter of discharge. I have hope again! I plan on having my 800 credit score back in the next 18 months. Just like thousands of other people that have had to go through this, it was just one horrific accident that set this in motion and it was not my fault. I had always been responsible with my finances just like a lot of people. Don’t be embarrassed is the one thing I learned from this. Predatory lenders have designed the system so that God forbid, anything like this happens to you, you will be paying them so much interest that you’ll be perpetually paying off debt for a very long time. I could go on and on about how great Aimee and her team are, but I want you to find out for yourself. Pick up the phone and call them. Today is the day you stop living in despair and get ready to live your best life! Aimee, if you ever need someone to work remotely for you up here in north central Florida, I am your girl! Heck, I even have a dog named Bruiser Woods. (IYKYK 😉)

I am very grateful for Aimee and Carlos! I hired a different law firm for my Bankruptcy case that I highly regret. The previous law firm was very rude to me. Did not disclose any important information that I needed. I called this firm in tears and explained my situation and frustration from the previous firm. I was quickly transferred over to Carlos he took the time to explain to me a lot of things. Then I received a phone call from Amiee she took a look at my case and gave me the peace of mind I needed. They are very professional and run their business in an ethical manner With no scams and hidden fees. They also showed empathy for the situation I was going through and I am very grateful for that. I highly recommend this law firm, They are great people with excellent customer service. Very satisfied from the minute the receptionist took my phone call all the way till the end.
